Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Tanissa Carmon is the creative director behind Untourage The Label, a luxury house rooted in precision, craftsmanship, and intentional design. With over two decades of experience spanning beauty and fashion, Tanissa approaches garments as considered compositions, designed to be worn, lived in, and remembered.

Untourage began with denim, not as a category, but as a discipline. The five-pocket jean became a starting point for exploring proportion, structure, and identity, how clothing shapes presence and how repetition creates signature. That foundation continues to inform the brand, even as collections expand into capsules and complete looks designed to function together with quiet authority.

As a licensed cosmetologist and seasoned entrepreneur, Tanissa’s background in beauty sharpened her eye for detail, fit, and finish. Her process is hands-on and intentional, each silhouette sketched, refined, and developed with the same rigor one would apply to a uniform or an institution’s visual language. Nothing is incidental. Everything has purpose.
